My online name is MsCharlotte. As I said on my opening page, it's pronounced MzCharlotte. (Hubby loved calling me that in his best Rhett Butler voice.) I was born in Pennsylvania, spent my early childhood in New York, then moved to Texas, and as an adult, moved to California. So, that makes me a Yankee Southern Belle with a California dreaming attitude. And, there are doubts in my family and among my friends about me being an "adult". I live on the central coast of California, about 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean, in the country. I have 3 grown children and 5 grand-kids, ages 12 to 19. Just like my kids, my grand-kids are growing up too fast. I am a cancer survivor having won against cervical, uterian and ovarian cancer. But, sadly, I lost my husband to bladder cancer and my mother to lung cancer. I now am the 24/7 care-provider for my father who is wheelchair bound due to Post Polio Syndrome and numerous other diseases. I taught myself HTML using notepad, and am addicted to Paint Shop Pro. I've been online since 1996, and after building sites for others, decided to build one for myself. I still haven't figured out what I want to do with it. Lately, I've become addicted to pixel painting. And, I am learning PHP. I love things that allow a sense of imagination and laughter, both online and in real life. No matter how bad things get, if you can find a reason to smile, you will survive. When not online, I enjoy sewing, crocheting, reading, playing video poker, and romping with my 2 dogs: Tiki, a pit bull/english setter mix, and Roxy, a black lab.
